For my lunch break, I walked to Marcy Park from Mayo Memorial Building on the University of Minnesota campus. Like most of my walks, this one ended up being more about the journey than the destination. While it is a lovely playground and I'm so happy it exists for the families in the Marcy Holmes neighborhood, it doesn't have many unique attributes as far as Minneapolis parks are concerned. Mapping out this walk did help me realize that Van Cleve Park should be my next work park walk.
So, while I didn't capture much of the park itself, I did take a lot of iPhone photos of other things! My photo walk caused a bit of an obsession (a sub-obsession I guess!). I want to create a photo scavenger hunt iPhone app that has different themes. College campus would be so much fun to develop. Categories I've come up with:
U of M East Bank campus
Marcy Holmes / Dinkytown neighborhood
