I recently learned about City Walk from The Big Parade Facebook group and have been binge watching all the episodes to get caught up. I've been inspired by the stories of others around the country who love to walk or who are dedicated to promote the benefits of walking or advocate for policies and/or development that make walking more accessible for everybody no matter where they live.
I've added a lot of places, events, and groups to my walk wish list thanks to these great stories.

Part of making exercise a regular part of your day is to make it fun, right? Lately, I've been combining my love of walking with my cold press coffee addiction/obsession. On weekends and days when I work from home, I hit the sidewalks and/or trails and fetch my drink of choice - Caribou Coffee cold press with a half shot of white chocolate. To shake up my tired Caribou routine, I'm going to venture to other parts of the Twin Cities and try drinks at a variety of coffee shops. With Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl as my guide, I will try some of her picks for best and craziest cold press and iced coffee drinks in Minneapolis and St. Paul:

The FitBit blog posted an interview with David Sedaris in which he mentioned his obsession with FitBit. This basically means we're best friends now...oh!...I should try to friend him on FitBit! Anyway, he said once walked 60,000 steps in a day (about 25 miles) and now I want to beat him. In 2011, Scott and I walked 30.47 miles in Portland, Oregon. Never mind that we accomplished this over the course of 12 hours and the walk included several breaks.
