Today, my employer hosted The Brain Injury Association of Minnesota for a crane folding party. "Cranestorm–Wishes in Flight will launch immediately through the support of various groups like yours to help us fold and collect origami cranes. Our goal is to accumulate 100,000 cranes, one for every Minnesotan with brain injury. The cranes we receive will eventually become part of an ongoing art installation."
It was a great event and to watch so many of my colleagues helping each other learn the paper craft was inspiring. I lived in a small community with a large brain trauma center so I know all too well the challenges that people face with brain injury. I am glad to be part of an organization that supports causes such as this.
I attempted my first 365 photo project in 2011. I made it to Day 246.
