In spite (or possibly because) of a terrible night of sleep, I decided to take the extra time to make a breakfast that involves more than pouring or spreading. I had bookmarked Roni's GreenLiteBites recipe for Breakfast Quinoa with Citrus and Kiwi.
So, I boiled, simmered, stirred, AND supremed (not sure if it can be used as a past before 7:00 AM! I first learned how to supreme citrus fruit because of Roni's Citrus Spinach Salad (recipe: here and my photo: here). I know that I waste quite a bit of fruit with my poor knife skills but I think with a little practice and perhaps one day, better knives, I'll have this technique down. I love citrus fruits and they are a great addition to salad so I am glad I know about this technique.
I love the color of the blood orange. I'm salivating just looking at my own photo!
