Scott and I toured Waite Park with Shelley Leeson, an energetic entrepreneur and small/home business advocate for all of NE Minneapolis. She showed us so many great features of Minneapolis's northeastern-most neighborhood and one extra special treat was the tour of Lauri Svedberg's home and studio. I was a little snap happy (can you blame me?) after Lauri gave me permission to take all the photos I wanted. Like many artists, the moment I turned the camera on Lauri, she got a bit shy. This is one of my favorite photos of the day because Lauri is being so cute and behaving differently than one would expect for being the creator of a home that commands such attention. Her home studio is often opened up during the annual Art-A-Whirl Open Studio and Gallery Tour. Please visit her studio's website and consider purchasing or commissioning one of her works of art.
I attempted my first 365 photo project in 2011. I made it to Day 246.
