Wednesday, June 22, 2011 My last iPhone photo submission for a while. To get home to Minneapolis at a decent time, I had to leave Phoenix at an obnoxious hour. Today was one instance when having disturbed sleep patterns is a blessing. I woke up around 3:30 AM and left for the airport around 4:30 which was much sooner than my 7:00 AM flight time dictated. As it turns out, it was better that I did. Delta was having all sorts of issues and many of the 6:00 AM flight travelers missed their flights and had to be rebooked. Long lines every where and I just took it in stride knowing I couldn't do anything about it and that I had time on my side. As I as approaching the first part of the security process, I noticed the Phoenician sun rising through a black window covering which made for a cool filtered effect.

Sunday, January 9, 2011 In the winter months, I do not see much of the sun. I normally would have stayed in my nice warm bed but in the interest of better photos, I decided to venture over to Lake Harriet to see the sun rise and to snap a few photos in the bitter cold. I am glad I did because I really like several of the photos I took today. It was hard for me to choose my photo of the day. Once again I am baffled at runners. They were out in full force even though it was below zero this morning. It took about 2 hours for my toes to thaw after just a short walk! |
