Before heading home from work, I stopped by Elliot Park Neighborhood Association to meet with David Fields and Lynne Regnier. They work tirelessly to promote Elliot Park as a livable community. Lynn mentioned that Teen Challenge was having an event in the Franklin Steele Square park. I didn't get to see that park on my tour so I headed over and caught this fun scene!

After dinner at Taste of the Big Apple, we went to The Sioux Falls Park so I could snap a few photos of the raging falls! It was quite cold but under Emily's art direction, I was able to get the blurred water effect. I so wish it was warmer so we could take a long walk around Sioux Falls.

The moment I got off the Metrotransit Bus #156, I knew I needed to take a detour by Armatage Park. A sure sign of spring, I could hear skateboarders and had to see it for myself. I have a special place in my heart for skateboarders because of Scott's time "gettin' rad bustin' fresh moves" such as ollies, rail slides, and kick flips. However, kids these days have it easy. Scott had to scout out buildings, parking lots, staircases, and loading docks for his tricks. He likes to give me tours of all the places he skate boarded in downtown Minneapolis. I also know how to spot anti-skate boarding efforts because of Scott!
By the way, this photo was originally taken by my Canon EOS Rebel T2i. The photos were sent to my gmail account and then uploaded to my iPhone library. I then used Diptic, Labelbox and Instagram iPhone apps to create the final photo. I learned about Diptic and Labelbox from Bari of Live Laugh Run Breathe.

After a relaxing morning, we all headed to the Pearl Street/Washington Park areas of Denver. At Washington Park, there is a big playground and it was packed due to the warm temps. Zoe was having fun exploring so Kevin had to stay close behind. I loved watching her vacillate between wanting independence and wanting the comfort of mom and dad nearby. Kevin and Alisa are great parents and it is a joy to have them in my life.

The men and women who plow the streets, sidewalks and parking lots of Minneapolis are working overtime. The sky was a brilliant shade of blue this morning and I loved the way the snow chute from this snow plow was lit. I know it would look unrealistic but I would like to turn the snowbank from snirt to a sparkly diamond from fresh snowfall snowbank!

The theme for this week as suggested by Digital Photography School is cold. Nothing looks colder to me than a snow covered bench while waiting for the bus. I want to sit down but just the thought makes me chill to the bone.
I attempted my first 365 photo project in 2011. I made it to Day 246.
