I took a tour of the Powderhorn Park neighborhood in Minneapolis. We walked passed this home took several photos of it because it is so visually striking to me. My tour guide happened to know the owner, Paul Brohaugh, because he and his family used to rent from Emily and her partner, Theresa. Paul has his own carpentry business and I hope to learn more about his home. I especially want ot know what's behind that yellow door at the top of the home!

Today we became the owners of a brand new high efficiency furnace! Woohoo! We are lucky that we only had to go one day without heat. It is not a great time of year to lose heat in Minnesota since it was below 0 on Tuesday night and Wednesday morning. While I took a photo of the Aspen Air company truck, the furnace and the talking thermostat, I wanted to show the actual heat for which I am most grateful. Just like Cinderella sang in 1988, "Don't know what you got (Till It's Gone)."

I spent the entire day laying in bed today. I have not felt as sick as I did today in a long time. I almost wrote today off as the first day I would skip in this photo project. But then I remembered a 365 set on Flickr in which the photographer used one day a week to focus on objects in her home. This bedside table is pretty much the only thing I looked at all day. It is in our guest room which is the preferred location when I am not feeling well because the bed has a heated mattress pad; a welcomed treat on this negative temp day.
I still feel sick but I am optimistic I'll be able to leave my house tomorrow to take photos of something a bit more interesting than this.
I attempted my first 365 photo project in 2011. I made it to Day 246.
