On my tour of Cooper neighborhood, my friends, Lucy and Justin, introduced Scott and I to their friend Marcus. He has an amazing backyard that just screams summer. Adirondock chairs, grills, firepit, garden plots, and my favorite, raspberry bushes. He was quite the host and gave each of us a fresh picked raspberry. MMM!

Friends, Kendra and Carson had a pizza party and we were fortunate to be guests. Carson makes incredible pizza and I am completely amazed that he was able to turn out restaurant quality pie on an old charcoal grill. YUM.

It was dreary for most of the day and I extroverted myself from 8 AM until Midnight the night before so I was pretty much useless all day. One of our adventures out in the world was to try the new DaVanni's in Richfield. We were both underwhelmed and the weird soda machine offering 100+ flavor options didn't even excite us. The day, in a word, was BLAH.

Today was the first day Scott and I picked up a CSA box from our 1/2 share of Driftless Organics. Knowing a bit about the challenges faced by the farmers makes me appreciate this food more than I do when I shop at my local Lunds. I am also encouraged to try foods I wouldn't normally choose, like French Breakfast radishes, the prettiest food in this week's box.

Today was my last day of working at colloquium, the face-to-face instruction for Capella's counseling and psychology learners. I worked in the Phoenix Hyatt Regency today and gave career advice to about 25 learners in back to back 15 minute appointments. If I went on more of these trips I'd definitely be 30 pounds heavier as every lunch comes with a big dessert and an afternoon snack. Pictured here, you see the special cheese platter provided to the hard working Events staff. They deserve that and so much more because they work so hard to create an educationally conducive event, attempting to meet a diversity of needs.
